Marketing & Communication Advisor

We are seeking a marketing and communication professional with proficiency in both written and verbal communication, in multiple languages (English, Dutch and French).

You will join an international Business development, Marketing and Communication team (BMC) present in our Belgian, Netherlands and Luxembourg home jurisdictions as well as in our London and New York offices. You will report to the Business Development Manager in Brussels. You will be responsible for advancing our firm's communication strategy and operations.

Your responsibilities

  • Developing and coordinating communication campaigns ensuring consistent messaging across all channels.
  • Drafting and posting content to highlight deal news, publications, rankings, and events on all available channels (the press, social media, the corporate website, and the intranet).
  • Together with our colleagues in the Benelux, help create edit, proofread and update marketing materials, including website content, fact sheets, lawyer profiles, client presentations and legal submissions.
  • Supporting lawyers in writing and refining legal updates, newsletters, and blogs, while developing templates to streamline content creation.
  • Assisting the Events Coordinator with the communication aspects of internal and external events, including drafting invitations.
  • Together with our BD advisors, manage the firm’s presence online and on social media (including LinkedIn), monitoring online activity, and conducting regular audits of lawyers’ profiles.
  • Providing communication coaching and social media training for lawyers.
  • Assisting the HR team with the communication around employer branding initiatives and company culture.
In this role, you will support the firm’s communication strategy by working closely with our lawyers and the Belgian and international Business, Marketing and Communication teams. Your key responsibilities will include:

A self-reliant person and a team player who likes to work in a proactive environment. You have:   
  • A degree in communication, marketing, translation or similar fields
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and a good command of Dutch and French
  • Excellent editing and proofreading abilities with an eye for detail
  • Practical experience with event management systems, CRMs and CMS is a plus
  • Strong IT skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint …)
  • Flexibility and creativity
  • A service minded attitude. You proactively reach out to our lawyers and other departments to make things happen.
